I’ll give you a verse in the Bible that covers anything and everything that will happen to you today. You'll find it in Philippians 4:6. The first part says, "Don't worry about anything" (Living Bible). Now, that sounds simple to do-but only until something major strikes at the center of what you care most about. It could be the business you just started, or much more serious, your mate or one of your children. Then you find yourself thinking about the problem non-stop.
How can God tell you not to worry about anything when what you really care most about is falling apart? Well, the verse doesn’t stop there. God goes on to say, “Instead, pray about everything." Prayer is the antidote God gives for worry. The big question is, "Have you tried It?” Today, every time that worry pops in your mind, immediately turn it into a prayer for God's help. Our human tendency is to think that our worry is either too small to bother God about or too big for us to expect Him fix. But nothing is too large or too small for God. That’s why He tells us to pray about everything-yes, every worry that comes to mind.
The biggest problem most of us have with prayer is giving up too soon. We think that once we have prayed about a problem, that should take care of it. But it doesn't work that way. Remember, we need to pray every time we worry-and that can be pretty often on any day. God urge us to turn every worried thought into a prayer.
